Tirerack.com: A Great Place To Get Tires

I recently had to buy two new front tires for our car. The tires are run-flats, and not many vendors carry these particular tires – not to mention they are painfully expensive when purchased from the manufacturer or from an auto body shop (I was quoted $505 per tire). So, I went in search of a way to save some money. Unfortunately, Costco tire department does not sell my tires, so I found myself on eBay searching different vendors. While I initially found some amazing deals for “new” tires, I quickly found out that there is a catch. Fortunately, I came across Tirerack.com. Tirerack.com provided a great customer service experience in connection with the purchase and shipment of my new tires.

Savings

Tirerack.com advertised my tires for $132 less (per tire) than the manufacturer was offering. Additionally, Tirerack.com offered free shipping and returns. I had the choice to have the tires shipped directly to a local installer near me. Because I had previously purchased lifetime alignment warranty through Firestone, I had the tires shipped directly to the Firestone shop. Firestone, charged $26 dollars for the installation of each tire. I saved a lot of money.

Customer Service

Tirerack.com has an easy to use website. Searching for the tires you need is a breeze. Just input the tire size and brand of the tire you want and you will likely find what you need.

One thing that separated Tirerack.com from other vendors was the customer service. Prior to making a purchase, I had a few questions. I wanted to confirm a few things: (1) the return policy, (2) the tire manufacture date and (3) confirm I had the right tires.

I called and emailed several vendors. Vendors were slow to respond. Some did not have a representative available right away and required you to leave a voice message for a call back. When I did get a hold of a representative, by email or phone, they could not guarantee the manufacture date of the tire. For example, one stated, “85% of the tires we ship are manufactured within the last two years.” On the other hand, Tirerack.com was able to confirm the tire manufacture date of the tires that were currently being shipped out. When speaking with the representative in September, I was told that Tirerack.com was shipping tires manufactured in early 2024. That was comforting.

I worked with one representative over the phone and he took my order. He also made sure that the tires would be shipped to the closest Firestone near me, for installation.

Delivery

I purchased the tires over the phone on September 16, 2024. Later that day, at 12:51 PM, I received notice that my tires had been shipped from the Tirerack.com warehouse. On September 17 at 4:47 PM, I received an email from Tirerack.com that my tires had been received at Firestone. The next day, I called Firestone and made my appointment for tire installation and alignment. Tire installation went smoothly.

Great Experience

If you find yourself in need of new tires, I suggest checking out Tirerack.com. I will be using Tirerack.com in the future.
