Back to school.  Maybe you are lucky and your child’s school serves lunch. If not, then you have to come up with lunch every single. It is no easy task. I try to pack a healthy lunch everyday. I am posting a few lunches I made for my son last week.

Personally I like using bentgo lunch boxes to pack lunches. You have a lot of options to choose from. They are great for dividing the primary lunch from the snacks. When my son was younger we used the 5 compartment option. Now that my son is 4 and is in pre-K, my wife and I decided to use the 4 compartment option  – the kids spend less time snacking and eating during the day. A nice feature about the 4 compartment box is that you can remove one of the main dividers and pack in a good size main meal. It is a good option to have.

Left over Costco rotisserie chicken and pasta mixed with pesto. Sliced apples. Strawberries. My son loved this meal.

The main dish may look a bit odd, but it is delicious. It is Chef’s Secret Basmati rice mixed with Greek yogurt. You can use any kind of Greek yogurt. I typically use Mountain High Greek Yogurt. Sliced apples. Strawberries.

Hope these help. I will post more as the school year goes on.
